For Quezon City buyers weighing a tablet against a laptop, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra promises a roomy screen and portable workspace.

The real question for students and working commuters is whether its features justify the price.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra has a 14.6-inch display, while the Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ offers a 12.6-inch screen in a smaller package.

Both models include an S Pen, making handwritten lecture notes, document markups and quick sketches possible without a separate purchase.

For someone moving between classrooms, offices and cafés across Quezon City, that flexibility may matter more than another specification.

Samsung lists battery life of up to 23 hours for the Ultra and 21 hours for the S12+, though everyday results will vary.

Both tablets support 45W wired charging and offer bright AMOLED displays designed for work and entertainment.

Multitasking tools let users keep notes beside a lecture or reference material, while the included pen adds a more natural way to capture ideas.

Price, however, is likely to decide which model makes sense.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra price starts at ₱87,590 for the 256GB Wi-Fi version.

Its 256GB 5G and 512GB 5G versions carry suggested Philippine prices of ₱99,590 and ₱109,590, respectively.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S12+ costs ₱76,590 for 256GB Wi-Fi or ₱85,590 for 256GB 5G.

Pre-orders are scheduled for October 9 through 20, ahead of an October 21 online launch and October 28 availability in physical stores.

Launch offers include a keyboard cover, S Pen and charger bundle, alongside app trials and potential trade-in savings.

Students may also qualify for additional discounts, making it worth checking eligibility before paying full price.

The S12+ is the less expensive entry point, but the Ultra gives buyers substantially more screen space.

For Quezon City shoppers, the sensible choice comes down to how often that larger canvas will actually leave the desk.
